My first mandate as a first-time leader was daunting: reorganize the structure and workflow of the arts department at Canada’s largest French-language daily, toward a slimmed-down, digital-first operation. It was a tremendous challenge and a rewarding experience that prepared me for my next managerial role: leading a competing news team through the intense 2020-22 news cycle.
